350 plus people benefit from NHPC’s free health check-up camp

Kalimpong, March 13:
A free health check up camp was organized 8 Mile area, under 33 No. Constituency, today. The camp being held by the NHPC TLDP III was supported by the concerned area sabhasad, Kazim Tshering Bhutia. More than 350 people of the area benefitted from the free camp. 3 doctors, viz. dermatologist, gynecologist and neuro-physicist from Mitra Nursing Home, Siliguri were present. Free medicines were also distributed during the camp.
70 people also received blankets from Anita Verma and team. Also 8 children belonging to SC, SC and OBC category from St. Maurice School received scholarship amount. In the presence of the school principal, the students were handed over the scholarship amount meant for the whole year.
Sabhasad, Kazim Tshering Bhutia said that the camp was held on the request of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) president. Likewise, Nikhil Verma, Assistant Manager (HR), NHPC, informed that the company has been conducting series of social welfare programmes. He highlighted that the NHPC is always in the forefront to help the public and in development of education.
