Ashoke VI, Pedong lifted the Late Pem Tshering Bhutia Memorial Archery Cup by defeating Sangsen Dorjee Gumpa team with 35 points. The final of the said archery tournament was played today at the 18 Mile playground, Payeu GPU under Block II.

Samir Rai from Sangsen Dorjee Gumpa team was adjudged Man of the Tournament while Pempa Tshering from the winning tean became Man of the Match. The tournament was organized by United Boys Archery Tournament, 17-18 Mile. The final match today was held under the presidentship of Khopley Bhutia, the sponsor of the trophy. Former DCP, Karma Tshering Bhutia was the chief guest, while Sangey Bhutia, President of the association and Sonam Tshering Bhutia, General Secretary of the association were the guests of honour.

The winning and the runner-up teams were handed over trophies. The main aim behind holding the tournament was to encourage the traditional game and also to keep the youths away from drug abuse and other bad habits.
