The Cymbidium Orchid Park constructed under the readiness of the Mungpoo Cinchona Directorate under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana will be inaugurated on 3rd April by the GTA executive chief, Bimal Gurung. Along with Cinchona plantation, Cymbidium Orchid farming is also catching its pace at different places. Since Mungpoo is a suitable place for orchid farming, the park has been constructed here. At present more than 40 thousand orchid farming has been initiated in this park which can house more than 2 lakhs of orchids. The orchids blooming with all its beauty is attracting a large number of visitors already before its inauguration. It is now hoped that the park will contribute at a large extent in the tourism industry of the hills.
