The Tibetans in Kalimpong observed the 54th Tibetan National Uprising Day. During the commemoration the Tibetans shouted slogans and carried out a rally from Maney Lakha Gumpa. Children, students, women and elderly people shouted ‘Free Tibet’ slogans. The rally after encircling the town ended at the venue where it started. During the rally the Tibetans also held a prayer service for few minutes at Damber Chowk for few minutes. Pamphlets informing about the Chinese atrocity and about the number of self immolations by the Tibetans, were also distributed. They also shout for support from all individuals towards their cause.
