The 122nd birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar was celebrated by the BR Ambedkar Shaling Nirman Samiti at the sub divisional office today. The programme held under the presidentship of PB Ghatani had the presence of Uday Kumar Kumai, president of Gorkha Dukh Niwarak Sammelan (GDNS) as the chief guest. The samiti’s president, Sonam T Bhutia presented the report of the association while Prof Dilu Thatal highlighted the life of Dr Ambedkar. Harka Pariyar recited poem. It was informed that the samiti has submitted a letter to the MLA for transforming the venue into Ambedkar Park.
