D Rider, Pedong won the final of the Algarah Premier Knock-Out Cricket Tournament by 187 runs against GBS, Payeu. The final of the tournament being held at Algarah playground since March 16, 2013, was held today. The winning team received a cheque of Rs 10,000, trophy, medal and certificate while the runner-up team received a cheque of Rs 5000/-, medal, trophy and certificate. The final match was held under the presidentship of Samuel Lepcha, JKS Block II President. LN Sherpa, the Sub Divisional Officer, was the chief guest. He was accompanied by Dr S Nag, Block Development Officer of Block II, Sabhasads Kalpana Tamang, Dawa Lepcha and CP Poudyal.
