The annual general meeting of the Hotel & Restaurant Association was held today under the presidentship of T Mac Donald. The meeting discussed and deliberated the issues faced by the association and solutions for it were sought. Also during the day a new executive body was formed after dissolving the old. The new body comprises of Sanjogita Subba as president, Sonam Gompu as vice president, Preeti Rai as secretary and Ashok Agarwal treasurer. The meeting also discussed that a plan should be made to develop tourism and a meeting with the representatives of paragliding, horticulture and other fields should be held. The meeting also stressed that a calendar event should be made for events like motor cycling, paragliding, rafting, rock climbing, fishing, trekking and birding. Solutions for the drinking water issues in hotels were also discussed.
