A Meeting cum workshop was held on the issue of formation of child rights network in Darjeeling at Ashadeep conference hall.the meeting was attended by 19 NGOS from Darjeeling in presence of Caritas India.During the meeting an open house discussion on issued related to child rights focusing mainly on children of Darjeeling district and the role if the government and non government organisation in the context was held. At the end of the program a child righjts forum was formed and a document was signed by all the member present which was given the name of Darjeeling NGOs declaration paper on child rights which will be handed now to the government informed Sister Subesna Thapa director of Bal Suraksha Abhiyaan .MS.Farida lambay the founding member and director of PRATHAM(a well known national organsiation working on child rights and labour issue in mumbai and 19 other states and also a RTE member with her core team was present .
