TLDP-III on a mission to up-grade PHCs and MHCs

Teesta Low Dam Project Stage-III, Rambi has taken up an initiative of up-gradation of Primary Health Centre (PHC) & Maternity Health Centre (MHC) in the rural areas of the Darjeeling hills and in the project vicinity area under CSR project “Dhanwantari”. In a solemn function held today, Ramesh Mukhiya, Chief Engineer (Civil), Teesta Low Dam Project-III, Rambi, NHPC Limited handed over 26 medical equipments to Teesta Bazar PHC. Dr. C.K. Chetri, BOMH, Rambi BPHC on behalf of Teesta Bazar PHC accepted the medical equipments.
The items included Oxygenator, Nebulizer machines, Oxygen cylinders with accessories, Stretcher Trolleys, Albuminometers, Kocher’s Forceps, Thermometers, IV Stands, Screen Stands, Stethoscopes, Patients Examination Table, Foot Steps, Back Rests etc. These equipments shall facilitate the up-gradation of the Teesta Bazar PHC and will be of a great help for the local people of Teesta Bazar, 29th Mile, Geil Khola, Peshok and other remote villages who depend on Teesta Bazar PHC.
Ramesh Mukhiya, Chief Engineer (Civil), assured the local masses that the NHPC will continuously support in providing better facilities in the field of education, health and infrastructure support. He urged the local people to co-operate in successful commissioning of the project.
Dr. C.K. Chetri, BOMH , Rambi BPHC expressed his sincere thanks to the effort undertaken by NHPC Ltd, TLDP-III to upgrade the Primary Health Centres of Darjeeling hills.
