Woman dies a mysterious death

Kalimpong, April 23: A mysterious death of a woman at East Main Road,
Kalimpong yesterday night has been reported today. The deceased has been
identified as Lalita Subba. Noticing the body the locals filed a report at the
Kalimpong Thana and the area’s Gram Vikas Committee has demanded and inquiry of
the case.
As per the information received from the locals, the
deceased woman was married to Sushil Rawat 7 years ago. The couple used to
quarrel on a regular basis. Sudha Thapa, Secretary
of Gram Vikas Committee opined that the reason for Lalita’s death has to be her
marriage with Rawat, who is a non- Nepali.
In
the meanwhile, the Police have taken the husband into custody and have been
interrogating him. A case against the husband under section 498 and 306 IPC for
forcing his wife to commit suicide has been registered.
