TRUCK PLUNGES INTO RIVER TISTA, DRIVER DEAD BODY FOUND VEHICLE MISSING.

Within a span of just five days one more truck accident have been
reported from NH 31 A .The incident happened at Mamkhola ,8th Mile of NH
31 A today morning at 7 a.m. Last night and today morning heavy downpour
along with speed driving have resulted in the accident at Tista river in NH 31
A .The truck bearing number WB 73C-5266 which was travelling from Sikkim To
Siliguri met with an accident in the sharp turning of Mamkhola under Bengal
Malli Police Post. The vehicle which skidded off 350ft in the rivers Tista
is supposed to be swept by the high waves of the river Tista while the body of
the driver catak singh tamang (20) was found on the river banks informed the
police sources .Police has recovered the body which have been sent for post mortem
in kalimpong hospital .Kalimpong sub division received about 40 mm of
rainfall from last night to today morning till 7 .
