'The death of GJM activist Mangal Singh Rajput want go in vain he will achieve our goal' GJM president Bimal Gurung today told the public who gathered for the last rites of rajput in kalimpong damber chowk .Rajput’s body was brought to Damber chowk around 11 a.m  this morning where a huge crowd was waiting. Slogans praising his brave act and sacrifice echoed all around town. after paying tribute his body was taken to Delo for final rites . thousand of people marched  silent procession with the body of a party supporter, who died after immolating himself over Gorkhaland demand, began its last journey in Kalimpong.

The silent procession with the body of Mangal Singh Rajput, the GJM worker who immolated himself seven days ago and died on Saturday in a Siliguri hospital, began from Dambar chowk in Kalimpong.

GJM president Bimal Gurung, who has reached Kalimpong to attend the funeral, criticised the government over the detaining of four GJM workers this morning for trying to block the entrance of the district magistrate's office.

"GJM will intensify its agitation if the West Bengal government did not stop its repression of the Hill people," he said.

Further adding he told that their will be no negotiation this time around with the state government as its is trying to supress our democratic movement .we are in touch with central leaders.

' We will give all possible help to mangals family , belonging to a minority community his death has showed that how every community in hills is serious towards Gorkhaland.'
