The incessant rainfall in the hills has triggered landslides at numerous places following this monsoon. A major landslide along the NH31A at 27th mile
 under Rambi, this morning around 9 today halted the traffic for 1 hours. Due to the landslide almost all vehicles heading to Siliguri traveled via Tista To reach Siliguri. The diversion of the way has severely affected the commuters. In the afternoon Landslide trigger road block near Bagpul area along with slide a vehicle met with some technical problem which cause about 4 hour road  traffic was restored at 4 pm after the relentless GREF efforts. Even the slide clearing process lengthened due to frequent mud slides. This is one of the major landslide this monsoon along the Highway.

Similarly, Fresh landslide was reported at 18 MILE NH where massivre mudslide halted traffic for more than 3 hour .

At last around 8 p.m a Sikkim bound Maruti vehicle fell down about 200 ft down at Birik Dara under Rambi.The driver of the vehicle Man Kr Thapa was rescued and rushed to Rambi from where he was refer to Siliguri seeing his serious condition.
