A Veteran rally was organised by 164 Mountain Bridage at Saint George School Hall at Pedong about 21 kms away from Kalimpong Town.

GOC of 17th Mountain Div Y.V.K Mohan ( Sena Medal) was present as the chief guest of the program Meanwhile Rtd Col D.K Pradhan president of Ex servicemen league was present as special guest

The rally saw mass participation of members of Ex service men league along with Veer Nari and Veterans army.Addressing the member of the Lt.Col Prabhat Gurung ,ECHS , polyclinic, Gangtok told that the problem faced by ex servicemen should be immediately reported to the nearest center or officer in charge. He said that lack of awareness and Ignorance after retirement is a cause of problem faced specially by Gorkha Sainaik .

Meanwhile AK Tiwari representative of PCDA Allahabad and Sub R R Solanki representative of record office from Ghoom too addressed the program.

A total of 25 Veer Naris , Battle Casualty and Veterans Army was felicitated by GOC of 17th Mountain Div Y.V.K Mohan ( Sena Medal) who later released a ESM Handbook too.

Medical and Canteen Facility along with different stalls was today seen.

Addressing the Rally Rtd Col D.K Pradhan president of Ex servicemen league highlighted the basic problem faced by Ex servicemen . He alleged the State Government of not supporting the Ex servicemen.

The program was addressed by the chief guest too .
