The Bridge was constructed by Gref in 21 hours as the work was started from 5 a.m on Wednesday. 60 feet long bailey bridge was constructed at likuveer after a massive chunk of road slide took place on Tuesday morning. The left part of the road was also in a very vulnerable condition after which the GREF authority decided to close the highway for 24 hour for construction of the Bridge

Ramesh Thapa , a driver of a daily from Kalimpong told that not only the driver but the passengers are too relieved after the traffic was open. He hailed the hard work of the authority .
