House to house waste collection from 1st August-Kalimpong Municipality

A meeting on the issue of Solid Waste Management of Kalimpong Town was organised by Kalimpong Municipality at Town Hall.In a bid to streamline the process of bio-waste disposal, the Kalimpong municipality has Tie up with Prayas Hi Rise infrastructure Pvt Ltd to implement the House to house Collection of Waste.
“Sewage and waste management is one of the biggest problems the town is facing, and we are doing all we can to manage it effectively. We will accomplish the task, but we need active cooperation from the local people as well,”Added The chairman in her welcome Speech.
Meanwhile a power point presentation of the Action Plan of SWM was presented by Dr S.D.Zimba Health Officer of the Civic body and Other presentation of house to house collection of waste was shown by Partho Pramanik of Prayas Hi Rise infrastructure Pvt Ltd.
A interaction session with public too concluded.

from Different political party, head of Institutions, Ngos and MLA Dr
HB Chettri and many more were present during the program.
