Shaheed Mangal Singh Rajput who committed a self immolation last year on 30th of July during Gorkhaland Agitation and later died on 3rd of August was today remembered on his first death anniversary.
Rajput was the first person in the History of Separate state agitation who died of after committing self immolation.
A shaheed bedi at Homes was today inaugurated in morning at 7 am which saw the presence of Asha Gurung and leader of Many political parties , Organisation and masses. Nima Tamang Sabhasad of Homes Constituency today gave cash to the Family of Rajput.
A Sarwa Dharma Prathana Sabha was organised at Damber chowk the place where last year Rajput committed self immolation. Many people were present to remember Rajput who offered khadas to his photo.
A silent rally too was organised under the banner of GJM kalimpong youth front which after encircling the town gather at Motar Stand the rally place.
The rally which started at 11 am, saw the presence of Youth Cadre from all parts of the Hills.
Addressing the meeting , youth leader today appealed to all to be ready for agitation which will be spearheaded by yuwa wing. Late Mangal singh wife and son was felicitated during the Rally at Motar Stand.

Youth leader today told that they have not suspended the agitation.Leader appealed the youth to be ready.
Amrit Yonzone Central committee Leader of Youth Wing today said that only 4 and a half year of time is left to achieve the demand of separate state . He said for this demand we are ready to fight.We want let Saheed Dream to go in vain.

The rally saw the mass participation of Youth, GTA Councillor etc.
