Kamsi Forest Village , 7 kilometer away from Kalimpong town today witness the historic day as New Electrification was started from today after 54 years of establishment of Village . The village comes under Bong Gram Panchayat and has no road connectivity. The 100 houses village today saw the first electric flashing in their homes.Kamsi once a hide out for WB CM Jyoti Basu in 1960 era and Sikkim CM Pawan Chamling in 1990 era had no electrictity till now. It was a unseen area . Bimal Gurung once visited the place and promise to fulfill the dreams of the villagers of connectivity and electrification. A time of 2 and half year took place for electrification under Rural  electrification plan under GTA. Sunil Pradhan GTA member of the area today in a program lifted the Transformer and one of the dreams of the villagers was conquered. A hundred of steps is only the way to reach the village but GTA has started the work of road to connected the village. Suk Bahadur Rai a local said that ' this is the historic day for all of us, we thank GJM Chief and all who make the dreams of our come true.
