St. Josephs Convent
presented Andrew Lloyd Webbers adapted and edited version of ‘Joseph and the
amazing Technicolor Dream coat’ in Kenny Hall today by the senior students
(class 5-9). The acts were presented in
five different scenes added with songs, music’s and speeches in between.
Yohana Bhutia the
Regional Director
of IGNOU
was present as a chief guest of the program. Joseph and the amazing Technicolour
Dreamcoat is based on the coat of many colors and the story of Joseph from the
Bible. “SJC is known for organizing the best concert in Kalimpong, the musical
work, lightening and choirs were beautiful and skillfully presented” Said an Ex
Josephite, Meghna Pradhan. More of the spoken dialogues were supplemented with
songs and music’s. Comparing the concerts of previous years one of the ex Josephites
said that it was different than the regular concerts they had in their times.
“Everyone
were engaged in one drama today, we had vast choices of programs in our time,
students good at Nepali dance could join there and ones good at Bengali songs
could easily be selected according to their talents” said Pradhan. Parents of
the participants along with the students from different schools were present to
watch the program at Kenny Hall.
The program was dedicated to the alumina association of the school, Josephite who were present in large number to watch the concert .
