A Driver from Lachung Sikkim was arrested today after he hit a wagon R vehicle at Likhuver under Tista Police Post. The incident happened this evening around 6p.m when the Wagon R vehicle WB74A C1351 which was traveling to Kalimpong from Mongpu was struck by the Siliguri Bound Sikkim Truck SK 03 D0222 at Likhuveer. All three including the Driver of the Wagon R vehicle became injured and was rescued and rushed to Kalimpong Hospital from where all three has been refereed to Siliguri. Meanwhile the Police was informed who later reached the spot and seized both the vehicle and the Driver of truck Lendup Bhutia of Lachung was arrested . He was in drunken position when arrested informed the Police. He was sent for Medical Test later on.The three injured person are Mrigendra Rai the driver, his wife Shakun Sharma Rai and Dewmit Lepcha all hailing from Mongpu
