Rambi Police under it OC Sujit Lama today seized illegal liquor from a Maruti Van Vehicle near 27th mile after it raided the vehicle ,WB74 A C0606 at 27th mile on NH 31A around 2 a.m in the night after getting information in which they seized different brands of illegal liquors of Sikkim brand

The liquors were being transported from Sikkim and was supposed to be

sent for sale in Mungpoo and. The police also arrested the driver Suman Chettri(36) of Mungpoo of the vehicle under the Excise Act 46 (A) (c) .

Today he was produced before the Kalimpong Court from where he has been sent to 14 days of Judicial remand
