Debjani Mukherjee, co-accused in the Saradha Ponzi cases, got bail today in one lodged in Kalimpong .On April 22 2013 , a man named Uttam Bhujel  had lodged a complaint against Mukherjee in Kalimpong police station. This was the first time Devjani was bought to Kalimpong after her arrest last year.  Bhujel had accused Mukherjee of cheating(Sec 420 IPC).

Debjani did not hire a lawyer as she herself move the bail plea citing that she has been in custody from last one and a half year and . She too said that the Apex court has ordered the CBI to hear the case in a single court but the police has been harassing her by taking her to different places.

After hearing the ACJM R  Charkrabarty granted her bail on the Surety deposit of Rs 2000

She was bought from Alipur women's correctional home today where she was taken back as many cases are still pending in her name.
