Morcha Chief Bimal Gurung
today surrendered before two court in case related to Blockade on NH 31 A
in 2011 during agitation period.Gurung who was on bail in both the
cases failed to appear in many hearing this year after which a danger of
issuing warrant was hanging above. Gurung who came to directly to
Kalimpong from Kolkatta for this purpose of appearing before the court
came around 11 this morning.
At first Gurung appeared
before ACJM court where he surrender and his lawyer applied for bail
which was granted by ACJM Judge R Chakrabarty court .Again he appeared
before JM( First Class) Court in Highway Blockade Case where again he
surrender and his lawyer applied for regularization of Bail which was
accepted by S Rakshit Court.
In both cases he has been booked under section 143/341/186/283/506 IPC along with R/W section 8 B of NH Act .
Rajiv Parajuli , Lawyer of Gurung today informed that Gurung had a total of 8 cases out of which 5 have finished one has been transferred to Gorbuthan and two are pending at Kalimpong court for which Gurung appeared today.
In both cases he has been booked under section 143/341/186/283/506 IPC along with R/W section 8 B of NH Act .

Meanwhile speaking to reporter outside
court Gurung said that we respect the judiciary for which i appeared
before the court today. He said that the state government did not have
work properly in talking back the agitation cases despite as agreed in
GTA pact.
He informed that the CM has directed Home Secretary to visit Darjeeling to understand the problem in Transfer of Department.
He hinted that February month may be the next target to visit Delhi.
