After Darjeeling and Kurseong now BSNL have forward 570 defaulter list of those who have not paid their bill during agitation period.  A lok adalat will sit on 14th Dec to solve the cases but the notice which have been sent to customer have technical glitches and errors in it . One of the bill amouting to 75,517 have been send to a customer for the period 8.15.1947 to 11-26-2012 .

The Bill period include from the day India Got Independence .

The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha had told hill residents not to pay phone and power bills in 2008 in the middle of the statehood movement, a call the party withdrew in 2011 after the GTA agreement was signed.

But the issue of outstanding bills had till recently remained unresolved even though the state government and the GTA have discussed in the issues at various meetings.

GJM asked people to start paying their bills from August 2011.

GJM however is in talks with both the State Government and the Centre to waive of the pending amount for April 2008 to August 2011 which also figures in the GTA agreement, but is yet to be approved by the government.

BSNL Have accepted the technical failure and have said to clear it on Sunday
