Statue of Swami Vivekananda soon in Kalimpong.

Remembering Swami Vivekananda on his 152nd birthday, Bharat Uday (B.U) laid a foundation stone in 10th mile, fatak today to install Vivekananda’s sculpture with an approximate height of 12 feet, where Nima Tamang- the member of 32 number constituency laid the stone.

Bharat Uday was established in Kalimpong in 2009 which is now registered under the Indian Society Registration Act, it is a non political, non partisan, and a nonprofit organization who are working with a motive to improve the conditions of the society.

Since 1984 India is celebrating National Youth’s Day on Vivekananda’s birthday to inspire the youths with his philosophies and ideas. He also tried to convince the citizens of India that political and social strength have the foundation on the cultural strength. His teaching and contribution to India is highly valued till today, explained the spokesperson of Bhrat Uday.

Throwing light on Swami Vivekananda’s life, Mayesh Gupta, the spokesperson said that the name Narendranath Datta was changed to Swami Vivekananda after his immense contribution to the society. ‘We want the youths to indulge incalculably to the society and do something extraordinary where people will remember them in some other names in the future’ said Gupta.

Gupta also said that the citizens here have been very supportive and with their support, placing the statue has turned to be a success.

However, Nima Tamang later in a press conference expressed the appreciation of Bharat Uday’s work, ‘The works of Bharat Uday and its step of implanting the statue of Swami Vivekananda is very appreciative.’ He also said that the youths should know the contributions of Vivekananda and imply them in order to make India a better place to live.
