Relli Kalimpong goes ablaze after seven days of Pedong’s conflagration. 11 families with 40 approximate members turned homeless today, 10 yards before the Relli Bridge, Pudung block-1.

According to the source, the family comprises with the labors working in a mill stone mining which is owned by Suren Moktan, and lived in a kutchha house made out of wood, the fire broke with the reason unknown while they were at work.

Taking colossal shape, the fire reached the ICDS center burning it down and caught a Maruti car parked nearby which also turned into ashes.

Important documents along with whatever they had got terribly burnt inside with no causalities.
Kalimpong Block 1 office provided necessary food items , cash , tarpaulins and also will be reviewing the damaged tomorrow as informed by BDO Bimalendu Das
