Sachin Tamang (18) a resident of Salugara, who was studying here was arrested for kidnapping a girl, who used to study in the same school, the girl was found missing since 10th of March which inopportunely made the authority of the school hostel inform the girl’s parents. The girl’s parents came all the way from Gangtok to file a missing diary against Tamang for kidnapping their daughter on 11th March where in the other hand the school hostel was mum and later pretended to file a complaint after the parents did, discloses the source. However the question of safety arises here when the incident is observed by the layman, people here argued on the role of hostel and it’s in charge where the reality spells as they both stayed in the school hostel and had love affair since last two years. When police started their investigation, they recovered the duo from Salugara Siliguri, where Tamang was brought to Kalimpong police station and the girl was taken by the BSA-an NGO here. Today, Tamang was produced in the court, who seemed to be in the state of shock, when interrogated by the reporters here, he said that he had an affair with the girl for the last two years and that was when they decided to elope and had taken the girl to his house. Overlooking their personal affairs Tamang was slapped with section 363 of the Indian Penal Code- which is the punishment of Kidnapping.
