5 Rajasthan MLA delegation visits Kalimpong

A 5 MLA team from Rajasthan under
Bhagirath Chaudhary Chairman, Committee on Environment of the Rajasthan
Legislative Assembly today reached Kalimpong on an Environmental Tour. The tour
which was started from 13th October is confined to North East State
and Darjeeling Hills.The team which reached Bagdogra yesterday went to
Darjeeling after which they reached Kalimpong this afternoon at around 1 pm.
The Team was warmly received by members of Parsuram Brahman Samaj at S D B
Path. Bhagirath Chaudhary MLA from Kishangarh,
District – Ajmer
interacting with the press said that Rajasthan is the place which receives very
less rainfall in a year which makes the area dry but now after the BJP led government
is seriously working to bring water from Narmada and Gandhi Nahar we too want a
green and environmental friendly Rajasthan. He said a total of 5 MLA .
secretaries of the house and others went to Assam, Meghalaya, Darjeeling and
today reached Kalimpong after which today the team will move to Sikkim where
they have a plan to visit Gangtok and Nathula Pass. We are studying the flora
and fauna of this North Eastern region so we can take something from here which
we will try to implement in our state. He informed we will submit a report to the
State. Today the team came from Lamahatta and later visited Delo .Apart from
the chairman the other MLAs are Chotu Singh, Shankar Lal Sharma, Narendra Nagar
and Ram Chandra Sunariwal assisted by committee secretary Datar Singh and
others.
