Taekwondo squad of nine to attend tournament at Thailand

Nine players from Darjeeling and
Sikkim will represent India in the 6th TIRAK TAEKWONDO INTERNATIONAL
CHAMPIONSHIP 2016 in Thailand. The Tournament will be played at John Paul II
Sport Center, Assumption University Suvarnabhumi Campus (ABAC) in Bangkok,
Thailand on 23rd October 2016.
Master Trilok Subba of Kalimpong
along with 8 other players from Darjeeling Sikkim will take part in the
prestigious TIRAK TAEKWONDO INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2016 .
Before leaving Kalimpong today
the team meet the press and informed aboyut the tournament . Trilok Subba
briefing said apart from him , Adwayti Subba of saint joseph convent
Kalimpong,Nilayam Sampang of Loreto Convent Darjeeling, Anu Subba of Pudung are
from GTA area whereas Nugnandani Chhetri, Priyadarshani Jyoti Baniya , Jigdel
Jangpo Bhutia all students from TNA Gangtok along with Lalit Portel of Tadong
College and Ugen Gurung from Sikkim will be flying to Bankok tomorrow .
Subba said the team have worked
very hard for the International tournament and hope the team will come with
flying colour .
Today Darjeeling District Taekwondo
Association secretary Pemendra Sampang , coach Rajendra Sampang along with
parents of the student greeted all the participating player before leaving
Kalimpong. The team will take part in poomsae and Kyorugi event in the
tournament informed Subba.
