The malfunctioning of sewerage line at Mani Road has restricted the residents of the area in using their lavatories in their homes. The gutters lay open on the road and the sewerage line is seen leaking. It has also polluted the environment with the sharp sewerage smell.

The sewerage line issue is pertaining in the town since the time of the Britishers, said the Municipality Vice President, Ganga Maya Gurung. She informed about a scheme implemented by the Municipality to tackle the issue.

“It will 10 days to execute the scheme”, she said.

Adding to this Gurung also appealed the public to support the Municipality in beautification of the town.
