Darjeeling Hills successfully grabbed three medals in the 7th North Bengal Open Karate Do Championship that was held in Dhupgudi last week. Out of 5 karatekas, who took part in the competition, Pritika Chettri bagged Silver medal under the 25kg category, Usanta Chettri under 30kg and Ramesh Khadka under 55kg category. The other two Binod Thapa and Avash Khadka could not fetch any medals. Coach Susan Thapa said that he will be participating in the upcoming 4th Netaji Sub-State Games under the 60kg category, Sujata Rai (girls 50kg  category), Maju Tamang (girls 55kg category) and Avner Biswakarma (boys 55kg category).
