Kalimpong chapter Tea & Tourism fest ended on grand note

The
closing day of the Kalimpong chapter Tea and Tourism festival today ended on a
grand note. The day saw colossal of exquisite cultural programmes and diverse
other activities.
The
Damber Chowk remained busy in the morning with traditional cultural programmes.
The 27 Mountain Division jazz band presented beautiful Nepali and Hindi songs.
The students of the Lok Sanskriti Sansthan presented folk dances and the
students of the Gandhi Ashram presented songs.
The
students of the Kumdini Homes presented band display at the Main Road. Renowned
artists of the play and theater Lalit Golay, Sebastian Pradhan, folk play trainer
Rajen Gurung was felicitated on the day.Indira Joshi (Nepali shakira) from Nepal also performed at mela ground on the closing hour of the ceremony.
The
closing day had GTA sabhasad RB Bhujel as the chief guest accompanied by MLA Dr
Harka Bahadur Chettri, 27 Mountain Dividion Col MS Gurung were present as the
guest of honors. The day also saw massive gathering.
