Surprise Visitors for SSB jawan at Triveni

On the eve of Raksha Bandhan dozen of women and girls from Tista Bazaar visited the temporary Shasastra Seema Bal(SSB) establishment at Tista Triveni and tied Rakhis to the SSB jawans who came from different parts of the country.
The SSB jawans who came to maintain peace and security in the hills on this ongoing Gorkhaland agitation are not able to get leave to go to their sisters on Raksha Bandhan. To make them feel at home and strengthen the unity between the general public and the paramilitary force dozen of women and girls from Tista went to SSB establishment in Triveni and tied Rakhi to jawans and offered sweets.These jawan expressed their overwhelming joy and thanked their sisters from Tista for remembering them on the festival.
The jawans were so much glad that they arranged seats and served teas and biscuits to the ladies.The jawans also offered money as 'dakchina' after putting rakhi. "We haven't expected that sisters from Tista would come and put us Rakhi, we are very grateful to you all. You reminded us our home and our own sister, Thank you", said Varun Singh,Assistant Commandant of SSB.
The program was chalked out by GJMM Tista, GJAC and Tista Byapari Sangathan.
Around 120 jawans tied the Rakhi.
