Yet again a murder in kalimpong has rocked the town where a youth was found brutally murdered at his office cum residence this morning at 9th Mile .

The place of incident is walking distance from kalimpong town. Tapan Debnath(30) was hacked to death by some unknown person last nite between 11 p.m -11.30 p.m

The man use to run Placement Manpower Consultancy just below Jiwan Jyoti Hotel from last 5 years.

Taking advantage of the rain and thunderstorm the assault took place.He was stabbed in various part of the body by small sharp weapon and later died due to over bleeding.The voices for help could not go far because of the heavy rain and thunderstorm . The body was seen by the neighbor living in upper floor who today informed the police at morning

Massive police force under Kalimpong PS in charge A Gupta rushed to the spot this morning .

Debnath was a resident of Chakchaka Coochbihar who was here in kalimpong from last 5 to 6 years .


Darjeeling SP who was in Kalimpong today said that the case has been registered and actual motive behind the murder could be ascertained only after completing the probe.He said that the body has been sent for post mortem in kalimpong hospital and we are waiting for the PM report

This is the third murder incident in last three months in Kalimpong after it witness the murder of a A Catholic couple in June in Gitabling and triple murder at Charkhol last month.
