BGP files RTI seeking Audit Information of GTA

Gorkha Parisangh President Dr Enos Das Pradhan has filed an RTI to seek
information regarding the Audit of GTA. R.Moktan Spokesperson of BGP
informed today about the issue in a press meet at Kalimpong . Moktan
today informed that the information has been asked to State Public
Information Officer. He informed that According to Clause 55 of Chapter
V, Funds and Audit of West Bengal Act XX, the audit of GTA have been
entrusted by the government to the Comptroller and Auditor General of India,who may submit the report to the government as he may deem fit.
In the context the BGP has ask four information under RTI Act
Whether Such Audit by the CAG has taken place in GTA during financial year 2011-12,2012-13,2013-14 ?
If Yes the BHAGOP has asked whether the norms were followed to place the report n the State Legislature?
If no , the reasons for not conducting the audit by the CAG so far?
BHAGOP has ask to share a copy of report of the CAG?
Meanwhile
BHAGOP has also sent a letter to Delhi Lieutenant Governor Nazib Jang
requesting him to correct the name of Saheed Major Durga Malla in the
Saheed Smarakh at Delhi where the name has wrong be mention DarogaMall.
Moktan
too has welcome the decision of GJM President Bimal Gurung to organise a
Maha Bhela at Delhi on November. He appeal that all Gorkhaland
lovers party should come in one forum and raised this issue. Apart he
said that How sincere is the BJP led Government in the issue of
Gorkhaland ? and have advice GJM to think on it.
