The Bharatya Gorkha Parisang, (BGP) have been celebrating Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary every year since 2001 by paying homage and respecting his struggle and sacrifice in the freedom movement. Similarly the BGP was observed celebrating Bose’119th birth anniversary today in BGP office.

BGP is often observed paying tribute to the freedom fighters of Gorkha origins in many occasions.

Interestingly the national spokesperson of Bharatya Gorkha Parisang, R. Moktan exemplified a situation and regretted the death of Bose where he said, ‘had Netaji been alive till the Republic day of 1950, the Indian gorkhas wouldn’t have to face many blames and mockeries today.’

Speaking briefly on Subash Chandra Bose’s life, Moktan said, ‘Netaji always valued Gorkhas and he often said that the bloods and sacrifices of gorkhas will never go in vain, he also believed that the Gorkhas will make the country free during the time of British’s.’

The Bharatya Gorkha Parisang also remembers the contribution of Sabatri and Indrani Thapa along with other Gorkha freedom fighters such as Ram Singh Thakuri, Major Durga Malla, Captain Dal Badhur Thapa, etc, who have worked with Subash Chandra Bose while he led the Indian National Army.

BGP considering the death of Bose as a massive loss tells that losing him was and still is like a defeat for the Indian Gorkhas where R. Moktan, the national spokesperson repeatedly said that the Gorkhas would have been in a better condition if Bose had been alive till the Independence or at least till 1950.
