The Sherpa community who have been regularly placing the demand for separate Development Board unlike the Lecphas and Tamang are hopeful of getting the same during the present CM visit. M. Wangdi Sherpa the spokesperson of All Sherpa Development Darjeeling Terai Dours Association told inform that " We have been called by CM on 23rd Jan at Darjeeling where Birthday Ceremony of Subash Chandra Bose program is scheduled , all Sherpa from Whole of Darjeeling,  Terai Dours and Siliguri will reach there in traditional attire in mass number" when asked about the status of the demand he said ' We are hopeful that this time she will announce in front of mass public" . Sherpa are tribal from 1950 but lack development informed Sherpa who added that only 7% of our tribe is educated and settled rest live in remote places depending upon agriculture. Through the development board we can bring them in the main stream.
