Tamang board Chief threatens politics if Provoked

2015: Sanjay Moktan the chairman of Tamang Development and Culture Board (TDCB)
said that the identity of hoodlums from other political parties who are trying
to create conflicts within the Tamang families should be detected, on the
sideline of the second National Convention which was organized by the Tamang
Youth Association (TYA) Central Committee today in town hall.
Tamang Development
Board and Tamang Youth Association never wanted to get indulged in Politics,
speaking on the subject Moktan warning and referring to the people from ‘different’
political parties, he said, ‘if we are provoked and if the situation reaches to
the saturation point, we will be compelled to play the game of politics.’ But
the game of politics will be played to protect the culture, language and
traditions of Tamangs and not to defame anyone added the Chairman of TDCB.
Moktan proclaiming that
people had and still have a negative perception with the developmental status of
Tamangs, now seeks for a clarification from the political parties here where he
questions ‘How has the development of the deprived community harmed any parties?
We would like to know.’
Later addressing the
people present in the hall he said ‘the motive of the convention is to preserve
the culture of Tamang by interacting and if people here have any new ideas I will
definitely let the higher authorities know.’
Acknowledging the
contributions of the people who wrote the ethics of Tamangs, which is essential
for everyone to read, Moktan assured the scholars to publish their books in the
Tamang Development Board written henceforth, letting that be one of the schemes
