Dead body of Driver and Vehicle lifted out of River Tista after 10 days

One
dead body of Ravi Tamang(33) of Mangal Dara was today recovered from
River Tista 29th Mile under Rambi Police Post.Tamang was a Driver by
profession who along with his Maruti omni vehicle (WB 74 A E 4520) went
missing from 13th Feb. Exactly 10 days of massive hunt the vehicle with
the dead body of the driver was pull out from river Tista this evening.
The
Victim of the Kins yesterday filed a missing diary at Rambi . The Dense
stagnant water locked due to NHPC Dam was a major hindrance in the
search operation. Meanwhile the Rafting Rescue group who have stopped
the rescue work from last 4 months too first hesitated to start the
rescue but ultimately on the
request of Chalak Mahasangh Kalimpong came in the river and started the
hunt which became successful at 29th Mile the most accident prone zone
area .
The
body which was in the vehicle was lifted out of River but in the
process the body feel down from the vehicle . Finally the rafting
recovered the body and handed over to police which later in the evening
send it to Kalimpong Hospital for PM.
